A Huge Success
This years expo received larger exhibitor and visitor numbers. A great day was had by all who attended. It was wonderful to see that interest and enthusiasm for electric transport is on the increase.
Transport emissions account for a minimum of 30% of Noosa’s community emissions. This figure is based on residential registrations, and does not include tourism transport emissions. While Australia trails behind the rest of the world in electric vehicle take up, there has been significant movement over the past few years. Oil is a finite resource, conservative assessment by producers such as BP suggest there is around 50 years of reserves remaining. This means the question of switching our transport fuel sources is not a case of if, but when.
The Climate Works State of Electric Vehicles Report 2018 states Australian electric vehicle purchases grew by an incredible 67% in 2017 with 2,284 vehicles sold. There has never been a better time to consider an all electric car.
